Why I Made What Don’t I Do?

Have you ever had one of those moments when talking with someone and they say something that you really never thought of? I had that experience recently and, well, here we are.

I grew up in the ’70’s and ’80’s. My family didn’t have much in the way of money, so my parents did a lot of the work themselves. Without really being aware, I grew up with a do-it-yourself mindset. I spent the majority of my adult life not really thinking that I did anything out of the ordinary or special. At least, not until that fateful conversation.

I was introducing myself to a group of women and we were talking a bit about ourselves. I talked about the things I do as a homemaker, mother, etc. And Boom! the fateful moment occurred. I was asked how I was able to do so many of those things, as if they were beyond the realm of normal. I had no answer! I thought these other women were doing things way more interesting that what I was doing, but they helped me to realize that maybe I do have something to offer.

Let’s find out together. Welcome, lovely human! Let’s make a better life together, one step, one project at a time.
